Slimming World Consultancy?

Hi there , I've been a member of slimming world and it has been great , I've hit target and found a new lease of life. The girl who runs my group is pushing me to try my hand at consultancy as she thinks I've got all the skills. Whilst I love the idea , I'm really worried that I have to set up as an agent and therefore self employed. Anyone know anything about the tax implications of this move or have first hand experience of this ?

First up, of course she will be pushing your hand at consultancy as she will get a slice of the action for getting you signed up, so be very careful that you can do it and are not over awed by any testosterone or estrogen fuelled thoughts.

Second up, you might look at setting up a company rather than self employed.
While the protection from being sued personally through a company have been diluted in the most recent Companies Act, a company sometimes makes a lot of sense.

Yes I work 8-4 mon to Friday .

Just to help you:
I am doing this stuff for a living since 1987.
However, since every day is a school day,
I am really, really looking forward to a well reasoned, cogent and properly constructed set of arguments to underpin it's a ridiculous idea
