Hi all, hope you can help me. I have just been discharged from hospital after a nasty bout of cellulitis on my face (3 days on IV antibiotics). That has cleared up but I still have very dry skin and the doctor said I shouldn't use my normal beauty products (l'Occitane). As recommended I am using Silcocks Base as a moisturizer and barrier cream (€4 for a 500g tub in chemist, great value) on face and body. But I am looking for suggestions for a cleanser or toner to use morning and night, something mild and not drying and good for dry skin.
    Any thoughts, thanks

E45 Range/Elave Range. Declor has fragrance/oils which would not be suitable at all.

Try Cetaphil as a face cleanser..It is very good for removing make up but also very gentle if you don't wear any. I find it great.
They also have a great moisturiser too.

Thanks all, I had mentioned E45 to the doctor and she said many people are allergic to it. She mentioned Aneeva as worth trying. I went to the chemist and he agreed with the Aneeva saying the E45 is full of things that some people cant tolerate. I had picked up a second one (maybe Cetaphil, Im not 100% sure) but chemist said Aneeva would be the best. Used it once and 24 hours later no reaction to it so will continue with that for the time being. I normally use Sheumera cleansing oil to remove make up (which I seldom wear) so hopefully that will be still fine.
    Thanks

Im not sure what many people are allergic to in E45 - its very low on the comedogenic scales and its also an emollient. Doctors are not always that clued up on skincare.

hopefully you find something that works.

I would recommed Elave and Bioderma Sensibio range. Elave has a sensitive face cleanser for €8 that is great. Neither range does a toner but I use Simple toner as no perfume, alcohol etc. in it.

If someone did a search for Elave on Boards.ie you would swear i work for Elave ...i dont! but their facial cleanser is wonderful.
