    Anyone know what the alternative to creosote is? The aul fella painted the fence last year with stuff that came out darker than creosote but he can't remember the name of it.. its not ronsol or sadolin anyway.

    Probably Creocote.

    Creosote is toxic, can give you cancer among other things.
