    Short of it all.

Dd is 10 yrs old on autism spectrum and has severe anxiety.
Today she had her checkup through school hse and 2 fillings are required for back teeth sooner rather than later.
the dentiSt said herself dd would not cope with "happyair" that she needs a GA.
I was also told hse won't do this so we have to look at going private.
We have vhi company plan plus and also vhi dental plan plus.

After calling vhi they informed me we would have to pay for everything ourselves and then our claim would be assessed and we "may" get some cover. Why are we even paying for the cover.??

I have an appointment with a dentist in hermitage in may and I am going she can take care of the fillings.

    My questions are

Has anyone dealt with this and had to pay ?
Will I have to pay for hospital fees, anesthesia upfront ?

If you phone the Hermitage, &explain that you have an appointment with them in May, they should be able to give you some information, based on the details in the referral letter.
After your child has been seen for consultation, you should be able to then submit a treatment plan to the VHI & get further clarification
