    I'm considering buying a Honda Jazz 2009 , a Japanese import,
. Am I making a right decision or are there any problems sourcing parts etc ?
    Thanks.

Sourcing parts shouldn't be an issue at all. there are plenty around and it can use (for most parts) parts from its european equivalent. Check your insurance before buying though, some won't accept Japanese imports for whatever reason... If they do, it might be a little bit more expensive than to insure an irish one (a friend's Suzuki Swift was 120 euros more expensive than irish equivalent).

Make sure you have the auction sheet in your hands to verify mileage. If the dealer doesn't want you to see the auction sheet, run away, it's most likely clocked. And if it is, who knows what else they're hiding from you.

Apart from this, the Japanese imports are usually in way better shape for their age than irish cars, come with a lot more toys/extras and their automatic trans are usually very good (takes some getting use to though, and CVTs are not everyone's cup of tea, but there is no getting away from the fact that they're smooth and efficient). My experiences with a few Jap imports first hand or from friends have always been positive, they simply don't go wrong, provided you take care of it once it's yours obviously with regular service etc...

I would defiantly be worried about insurance, as well as being an import the car will be 10 years old in 2019. I was driving a jap import for the last 7 years, my insurance doubled over the bast 2 years, only a couple of insurers would touch me this year and I was getting quoted silly amounts so I ended up changing cars.
