Underpass cars

Hey

I dont know where really to post this question, im just curious on something.

I live in a small town in Galway and to get to the motorway from my house, you have to go through a series of roundabouts and then finally an underpass to get on the Galway motorway.

For the last few months, I see different cars parked in under the underpass, just seems a weird place to park, I know what your thinking in regard to breakdowns, but surely all of them could not be breaking down in this area etc and this underpass is about 2 miles from the town and plenty other parking spots in between

Weird question, but anyone have any idea why people would choose to leave their car here?

car pooling. Pull in there, it's dry and an easy to describe for directions & safe enough place to hop into someone elses car and then on the way home it's the same again. Roundabouts good for then turning around and going back the way you came.

That's all there is to it i'd imagine

I do see a fair few parked up like this myself usually in the same spots just off a motorway. Car pooling is a good thing but I'd be very slow to leave mine where these do be.
These spots are common knowledge, anyone ever heard or know of any robberies?
