Having never done it before, does anybody have any advice regarding buying an e ticket from somebody second hand, that I met on done deal? I am sure this is covered before, but I am not sure how to make certain I am not being scammed?
    Thanks

There's no set way of avoiding it.
Even if you know the person selling, it could be a scam.
People sell them on various sites and then say here's my passport but there's nothing stopping them printing out loads of them.
A way of stopping someone scamming you is to meet them at their house and get them to print the ticket there, at least you know where they live.
Feedback is king and donedeal and gumtree have nothing there.
Adverts has some but be careful and check their previous ads.
Toutless is face value and again feedback is king.
Also check the name on the ticket is the same as the ID they show you.
This is to avoid the problems of people who have bought e tickets from other people online and then sold loads of them many times over as their name isn't on the ticket.
