    Just a thought, are board members entilted to have all their account closed and all posts deleted from the forum or is it a case of once you post, its there forever!

    In general, no, there's no mass wiping out of posts. Posts would only be removed if there's a valid reason, e.g. personal info or the like.

    Being a subscriber doesn't change that policy.

    Why the reason for this? It could be a money spinner if it was allowed

    It's a mix of things, opposition to what can be seen as an attempt at revisionism, it makes a mess of old threads, or removes entire threads if they're the OP.

    As mentioned, we'll still remove things to protect users and their privacy, just not an en masse deletion.

    Besides, I've no doubt people would accuse us of trying to extort them if we implied we'd need them to pay up to remove old posts.
