Thinking of going on holidays to the Dead Sea, Jordan side.

Does anyone have any experience of visiting here?

Would you have any reservations about visiting here considering what is going on in the 'area'?

    Any advice and opinions welcome!

I'd definitely recommend Jordan, the Dead Sea itself can be done in a day trip or just a couple of hours once the novelty of floating in a lake wears off.

Wadi Rum and Petra are spectacular and the main highlights. Food is great too and personally I wouldn't be put off by the war in Syria.

Great spot but the dead sea is not somewhere to stay for long. It's damn hot there. Quite funny seeing the GPS on your phone read -400m there...
