Hi, i have a bed that has maybe 7 or 8 rose bushes in it. Am looking to fill gaps in the bed and would like some nice flowers in there. Any suggestions of what might be decent flowers for here? Is it too later for planting bulbs?

Perennial geraniums (not the bright coloured summer ones that are actually pelargonums) make good ground cover around roses, they have attractive leaves and a good flush of flowers in early summer, and again in late summer if you clip the dead flower heads off (you don't have to be too fussy, just cut them off with shears).

Alternatively if you want brighter colour you could plant annuals which will be available soon, really that's just a matter of choosing what you like.
