As soon as I realised i was due an upgrade at the end of April I decided to rush off and sell my S7 and move to an S8. Sold it with in a day.

As i've sat around with my HTC M7 for the last week or two I've started to think of whether I really wanted to move to the S8. Yeah it looks slick. But I like the finger print sensor where it as and I like the home button quick opens the camera. I've two kids and I like to be quick off the draw. I'm also starting to think I will probably have to be completely precious about handling it.

I've now had the crazy notion of getting the S8 and then selling it and picking up an s7 again and perhaps a Gear S3 to go with it. Am i crazy???:o

Why do you have to upgrade at all? Go SIM only, buy an S7. Much less crazy than committing to a 2 year contract and selling the device.

In reality, when you get the S8, you won't want to go back to the S7.

I have my reasons for staying bill. And it's only 18 months.

I'm a strange fish. I could still give it up. Had a HTC A9 for one day before I sold it.

By the S8 and keep it for a week and see how if feels. As the OP said you'll probably find it hard to then downgrade after using it

You'd be suprised how not being able to leave it on the arm of the chair for fear of the kids knocking it will make you down grade !

So no one thinks it's smart to go back and pick up extra tech for no money ??

I always insure my phones. Always. Especially Samsung's, where screen replacement is well over 200. My last claim was 4 years ago, but i still like having that peace of mind.

Buy a case, and set the bixby button to launch the camera.

Was reading Sammy are pushing out a patch to stop remapping of the Bixby button :pac:

Don't know if that's true or not.

I get free insurance with bank account. But still just thinking I could get s7, gear 3 and possibly a Google home for what I sell s8 for.

I'm finding myself using phone less and less at home. And have tablet for commuting to work.
