Getting rid of car

Hey my old car is just sitting around, it's an 01 and does not have the proper tax, insurance or the NCT for the past six months. Over the years a lot of parts in the engine have been replaced with new parts. I was wondering what type of deal is a good deal for getting rid of it? Would I be able to get anything?

And how much does it weigh

    About 5 grand.
Honestly, with minimal details no one will be able to tell you how much it's worth.
Stick it through an nct and see what they tell you.
It being 01, with no tax or nct will make pretty much worthless.
Sell it for scrap and be done with it. Or stick it on donedeal for 300e and see how it goes.

What colour is it and does it have an air freshener in it?

It has 12 air fresheners and is the colour of the rainbow. It's a Golf and i don't have a clue about cars you moany goons.

As for the guy who said sell it for scrap well that kinda was my question, sell it scrap ok but for how much? 10 euro or 300 euro?

The problem with not mentioning what the car is in the OP is for all we know (as you admit) you know nothing about cars and could be looking out the window at a 2001 Ferrari 360 with no tax or test so it's had to give an accurate idea of value without knowing what item you possess. A lot of cars were made in 2001.

A 2001 Golf, you'd be lucky to get a scrap yard to take it off you for free, genuinely. If it's petrol put it on donedeal for €150 and take any offer, double the asking if it's diesel.
