    Hi All,

It is maybe a useless question : I am thinking about buying a new car (maybe Hyundai I30) because my Polo is going to be 15 years old next year and it seems the insurance will go up even more because of this.

I don't want to sell it privately because I don't want the hassle. So I am thinking about doing a trade in. Looking online the car would be worth around €1500 but I have 2 lovely scratches that goes from the front to the back (Thank you to the person that did it at Wilton shopping center carpark). It has around 65 000 miles. I didn't have any major issues in the 6 year i have it.

Can I get something or will the garage propose a bounty with a tea for it?

    Thanks

If you're looking at buying new or nearly new most garages will offer you a token €1000 or so for it is say but thats not its real value and you may be losing out on discounts elsewhere as a result. If you are looking at a Hyundai, they often do "scrappage" offers and may offer you €2-3k for it.

Thanks. i am looking to buy a used car for around €10k so I guess it will be even less than €1000 for the VW.
