    I have this dryer around ten years and have hardly used it until out newborn arrived two weeks ago.

    It took 65 minutes to dry jeans and t shirt today. Will a modern dryer do this in half the time or simply be a cheaper dryer to run. The dryer we have was first sold in 2000

    Those times don't sound too far out.
    I expect that some of the better models out there will dry a bit faster, but will use more energy to do so as well.
    The more efficient models use less energy and will also generally be slower to dry.
