Adding pump to pressurised system

    Hi,

My Hot water cylinder is downstairs, beside Heatpump and the hot & cold system is pressurised by a 2kw 4bar Grundfos (sp?) pump set to 2.5 bars. Our main shower is upstairs at the other end of the house. When plumbing, we ran pipes directly to the shower so pressure would not be effected by taps been turned on etc, but the pressure for the shower is not great.

Is there anyway of adding a pump inline to increase the power to just the shower or is this a complete no no?

I'd prefer not to increase the pressure on the Grundfos pump.
    Thanks.

4 bar pumps should give you great pressure anywhere in the house. Unless your house is huge. Take the shower off the wall and make sure the filters aren't clogged up with dirt

OP: What size pipes and what length run?

They would need to be 3/4" imo
