Can anyone suggest a song/songs that would be suitable for a first dance for two wheelchair users??

We don't want to sit there staring at each other and just be swaying to a song?

    TIA

Isn't that what everyone does anyway?!!!

Or are you considering venturing into the newly clichéd route of "spontaneous rehearsed dance?"

We were thinking of going for dance lessons

Could ye do a routine where the two of ye were in the same chair?

God no!! The chair would collapse under the weight of us!

''They see me rolling, they hating ''

    That would be cool.

    Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Pick a song you both like that matches your personality and tells a story whatever. I don't know why that aspect should be any different for wheelchair users!

As for the dance, well just do a rollie around the floor and meet up at the end with a flourish and a huge kiss/cuddle. I doubt there'll be a dry eye in the house.

I wish I was going. It will be fabulous.

Are you actually going to be dancing in your chairs or will you be able to stand for a few minutes.

Sorry, not being an ass but it's just a bit unclear.

Is there any song that is meaningful to both of you? If so, go for that, and maybe get the bridal party or whoever, all out on the floor at the same time, with you?

I know that some people do that where they just don't want 'the first dance' pressure, for whatever reason.

The dance teacher suggested that we go for something that starts off slow, and bit by bit the rest of the bridal party join in and the music switches to an uptempo number.....?

This is completely a weird suggestion, but could you get a murderball team to do an intro and then you two take over?

    Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

Something slow that quickens up (in the chorus) would be "Cant take my eyes off you" by Andy Williams....

I love: Phil Phillips - Home. Have a look on You Tube. Chessy and upbeat :-)
