Found the DK DIVX DVD PLAYER at www.blankdiscshop.co.uk

It comes to €92 including delivery anyone know of any other good DivX/XviD players out there cheaper than this
    Cheers

Technology sometimes makes things that used to be complicated into something very simple. The new DK DIVX player is a classic example.

The player has the uncanny ability to play DivX movies. Until recently, you couldn't watch DivX movies and videos without the help of a PC to decode the content for you, but with the DK DivX player at your side you can do just that.

No more decoding! Just download your DivX movies, burn to disc and play.

Several Divx on one disc? No problem.

Some of the player's advanced capabilities include playback of DivX video, WMA, MP3 and MPEG-4 (MP4) files. To date, this unit is by far the most powerful we've seen in this arena. To round things off, it has all the outputs that you'll require.

The DK DIVX DVD Player will also play DVD plus and minus R and RW, JPG's and MP3 on DVDR

As well as everything else described above, the player is also capable of NTSC/PAL TV System Compatibility, and of course full remote control.

The unit can be switched to play DVDs from any region of the world via the remote control.

    Formats: DVD/ VCD/ CD/ CD-R/CD-RW/ MP3/ SVCD/ HDCD/ WMA/ DiVX/ Xvid/ Photo CD

    Compatible DiVX-Versions 3.X, 4.X and 5.X

    Upgradeable via CD-R

5.1 Analogue audio out (6 phono sockets)

    Optical digital audio out

    Coaxial digital audio out

    Composite video out (Phono socket)

    S-Video out (4 pin)

    21 pin scart socket (RGB)

    Fluorescent digital display

    OSD (On-Screen-Display)

    Infrared remote control

    Dimensions (mm) (WxDxH): 430x247x54

Due to the overwhelming demand of this product, we had to source this unit within Europe. The mains plug has been changed to meet British Standard regulations.

Is that the Quentis one that you're talking about? I bought one already off eBay. I must say, it is fantastic. It puts Sony and Panasonic to shame.

It can be used almost anywhere cos its got a 110-240v input, it can display in pal and ntsc and its region free.
Its got lots of sound and picture options, a screen saver, and a last played time memory.
I was really impressed one time when I had 1 film split into 2 divx parts on the cd. It played straight from one to another with just a flicker.
Loads of connections at the back aswell.

They sell Panasonic DivX/DVD players in Dixons for around €90.

Tony: The Philips DVP630 has digital audio out (electrical (SPDIF or similar?) and optical) - Curry's, E99? Can be made region-free with a remote hack... even does progressive scan.

By the way, do any of the players here support DivX/XVid/Mpeg4 movies encoded using either GMC or QPel? I know the Philips doesn't, but I'd interested to hear if any of the others do...
