Car electrics question - door locking fault

    Car is an 02 polo.

So today my mate opened the door just as i turned the key in the drivers door and whatever it has done the electrics have gone nuts

The car has no factory fob so has to be opened manually. If i open the door via driver's side every door unlocks except the passenger . If i open it from the passenger every door unlocks. If i use the buttons inside the car they work half the time on the passenger door but don't half the time. It appears to just do random things there is no pattern.

Whatever has happened has also fixed the auto open close button on my electric windows which hadn't been working for ages.

A similar fault to the door problem happened before with the rear passenger and seemed to fix itself after a month or 2.

Anyone have any ideas? If something didn't work i could troubleshoot but this is pretty odd

Just to state there is an aftermarket alarm on the car with a fob but it has never worked and i don't use it so i don't think it could be this. As far as I'm aware it doesn't work at all and probably isn't wired in.
