Anyone else watching? Just watched the first episode. Got some actual laughs out of me. The new countdown section is pretty cool looking. I dunno how I feel about an entire series on netflix with each episode 90 minutes long I could lose a day here...

I have heard of the original but never seen it, until they recently added the old eps too. The opening sequences are odd, is this a kids show?

It's far from a kids show and can get very dark, basically they riff on a dodgy sci-fi movie for 90 minutes, I am liking the new episodes so far, no season has ever been perfect but all the episodes balance out in the end.

There was a thread in the main TV forum at one point but it seems to have dropped a few pages back.

I guess the main point was that this will be the first time most Irish viewers will have encountered this show. The original didn't air on any Irish or mainstream U.K. channel. It got an airing on the UK Sci-Fi channel, while the US parent was airing it, but that channel wasn't on cable here at the time and very few had Sky.

I got into it back around 2001/2 after a US buddy turned me into it. I've a bunch of episodes on DVD which I must rewatch before DVDs die for good. I loved the original series. Joel was my favourite of the two original presenters thus far. I like the new guy though. I've only watched the first episode but it felt like MST3K which is good. I'm not too keen on the new door sequence but, as always with MST3K, just chill and watch it for the laughs. I got quite a few from Reptilicus. It was a great pick as it really is a bad movie. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Reptilicus was a little uneven. Better late gas early on but, overall, a string opener I thought. It's nice to see the show again and even nicer to watch it as new episodes. It's run was over when I watched it so everything was done and dusted.

It was actually Sky Movies that put me onto it when the showed the Movie which I really enjoyed. Myself and younger sis would constantly quote it and eventually I found someone in the US to send me DVD copies of the first few seasons. Only 2 episodes in myself so far. Hope theres a few shorts at some stage too.

Watched it for the first time last year when i went to the US
    Had some good laughs
I'm not sure about the new guy, I liked Joel.

I'm watching the old and new ones. Some of the movies are so bad (Manos, or the Bigfoot one, Future War oh my.... to name a few) but that's the point.
