    Around 8k?

    All depends on the market

Thanks Photosmart. I have an offer of 8 k and was just wondering if it was too low. Didn't advertise it yet. Offer was from a local guy.

Anyone else think 8 k is a fair price. Not sure whether to advertise and hold out for more or just go with it and save the hassle ??

Only 1 on donedeal for that year and its up at 10800 and the ad is 12 days old. Which means its either sold and a dead ad or its overpriced. Anything on donedeal nearly 2weeks is overpriced IMO.

Why not stick it up at say 9500 and see if it gets any bites. You might get 9 for it. 1k is decent wedge at this price point. Nothing to lose. its only a 10er for the ad

I would say that an asking price of 9k - 10k would be fine given the
low mileage. Other issues are the general condition and whether you have service history etc...

I might be in the market for a similar car in the next year or so and my thinking would be that if I bought a seven year old car for say 8k - 9k and drove it for another 4 - 5 years it would be worth next to nothing at the end of that time which would equate to depreciation of around 1800kish per annum
which is ok but thats why I wouldn't pay much more than say 9k tops.

theres also the potential for repairs etc so thats why I would say 8k would be reasonable through if your car is in good condition etc you could hold out for 9k

If I was you I'd follow earlier advice and post it up on donedeal or wherever

I think it's worth more than €8k tbh, closer to €9000 In a private sale i would've thought.

if its any help I got 8500 last November on a trade in for a 1.9 Superb

    180000km

so you can work out the difference between then and now

After looking at donedeal etc I would agree that its probably worth at least 9k for a private sale so put it in at 9500 to 10k and that allows you some latitude for a discount.

    I also agree , with low millage , and if its A1 cond I'd pay 9-9.500 .

I'd hang in there for more if I was you .

Superb Combi's are really rare and highly sought after. 8k for that car is v cheap imo

Thanks. Would 9 k be more realistic. It is the older PD engine as opposed to new CR engine. Would this have a significant impact on price ?

I personally would prefer the older 1.9 tdi engine as I have one in my golf and its done 230000 miles with no issues beyond normal wear and tear.

Also that engine is very easy to service yourself with oil and fuel filters easy
    accessible.

It would make it more desirable to a lot of people.
