Humax HDR F0x T2 (Revisited)

Hi All! Been quite a while since I was last on here, and am probably 'raking up old coals' as it were.

Some time ago I posted a query here on the Humax HDR T2 not storing Saorview channels. I if remember correctly, one member did report loss of Saorview on his 'Hummy' but a retune fixed the issue.

I've only got back to trying to sort out mine in the past couple of days. Tried removing the custom firmware, and resetting every thing back to factory default via Telnet command, and installing the most recent 'official' firmware, even to reformatting the HDD.

Did a rescan, auto and manual, and it seems as though all channels have been stored as normal, but when I drop it into standby and switch it back on again, the Saroview channels are missing.

If I do a manual scan and tune in Saorview only, after turning off and on again it reports 'No Channels Stored'.

It has me stumpped at this point! Anyone any ideas ?

Is there a country code setting you should set to Ireland?

    Hi BowWow,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The country settings are in a hidden service menu on these old linux based Hummys. The only difference setting it to Ireland makes is to disable series link on the Freeview channels. Also the UK HD channels have to be tuned manually, on auto scan it ignores them!

It's a puzzling one! If I thought it was just a hardware issue on this unit, I nearly be tempted to source another one from Ebay or where ever. The custom firmware adds the extra little bit of functionality that is nearly impossible to get nowadays. But I have a sneaking suspicion that it may something RTE/2RN have done to the channel database on the Mux, rendering this model unable to store the irish channels.
