    I'm looking for a legal plate 229 x 178 (9" x 7") I'd like a pressed plate but I'll settle for an acrylic one.
Anyone know if they are available anywhere in Cork & how much ?

I don't think so, it's smaller AFAIK, I want it for a tractor.

    That's a bike plate then.

    The "legal" size is 220*340

Halfords can make these small bike plates I think. No sure of the exact size but its a little bit smaller than their other plate which is 325 x 175 mm.

Overdrive accessories in Douglas Court Shopping Centre can cut acrylic plates to size and can order in special plates for you.

I rang Overdrive, they said they don't do that size.

    D&C Motor Factors do a 9" x 7" plate, no acrylic only metal, that's 28 euro

I rang Halfords, they do 9 1/2" x 7" for 16 euro, backing plates out of stock at the moment but should be in stock on Saturday. I'll get one next week.

Bring the VRC with you if using Halfords, they operate UK policy in their stores here.
