Choughs

I should have posted this a while ago. Around three weeks ago there was a serious fight between two pairs of choughs in our yard over a nesting platform. We have had a pair around the yard for a few years now though they haven't managed to rear any chicks yet though they came close a couple of years ago when a chick that was close to fledging fell off the platform and was killed. It had almost a full covering of feathers when it died.

My question is would two pairs share a yard if we put up a second platform in another building. The yard covers around two acres so the second platform could be put up well away from the first one.
