What is most cost effective fence to keep dogs in

I have a garden that has a perimeter roughly 110 metres in length in Kildare that I need to fence off. There is some hedging around it but would not be sufficient to keep dogs from escaping. I had a look at a few websites and read a few threads here but can't seem to get a price range. Ideally 6 ft chain link fence would be the dream but could be expensive. I also entertained getting chicken wire and posts, maybe 6ft posts and putting 2 layers (height) of chicken wire around it. I would be looking to keep the total expense under a grand for posts and install (could possibly do it myself). Thanks in advance.

I recently done a 50m long 4Ft high Chainlink dog fence DIY for about €230 materials.
5Ft Poles were about €3 each
    2 X 25M roll of Chainlink @ €60 each
Roll of wire to form 3 strands to tie the chainlink to @ €5 ish
Plus a few sundries, staples, strainers etc.
If you've to put the crowbar, wire cutters, sledges etc too that might be another €100 or so.

Was quoted 1k by contractor for the same job (although in fairness his would have been neater). Small dog though, presuming for a bigger dog it would have to be higher. The base needs to be dug in a bit also to stop them from digging under. Main regret was not getting straining posts for the ends, guy in the co-op didn't think I'd need them but would be a much tider job with them in.

Chicken wire is flimsy and wouldn't keep a determined dog in for long IMO
