    Hi,

I am supposed to move the USA for a year to carry out some R&D collaboration with an American company. My salary will be through the public sector in Ireland, I want to know if I'll be only taxed in USA or in both countries?

We have a tax treaty with usa so you tax in one is creditable against the other. Working 6 months+ in usa means they regard you as resident I believe, and necessitates loooads of hassle. If resident in america you gotta fill out personal tax return as well.

Your employer should sort all this out for you!
