If a sheep was purebred but not registered would you class that as a bad thing? How easy is it to register it?

I have a commercial flock so the answer is no.
If I was a pedigree breeder wanting to register sheep then it would be.
How easy it is to register might depend on the age of the sheep and the society rules. I'd say look up their website.
Obviously I'm assuming the parents are registered and known.

Check with the breed society. I think some have rules that only the breeder can register them.

Sometimes there's a good reason why they weren't registered, defects and the like.

And that they just weren't good enough
