For some reason,I have just remembered a little poem that my mother used to tell me and my brother many moons ago.I didn't know whether to find it scary, funny or sad at the time. But now I can't get the thing out of me head!!

    Twas a cold,cold night...in the graveyard,
And the snow lay thick on the ground,
A skeleton arose from his coffin
And said "Please take me home,I'm cowwld!!"
But in walked the graveyard keeper,
    His belly full of beer,
    And roared
"Lie down oura dat,you dirty rat,
You can't get out of here!!!"

    Anyone else know this poem?
Anyone like to share some childhood flashbacks?

Siúl leat, siúl leat, le dóchas i do chroí, is ní shiúlfaidh tú i d'aonar go deo.

My mam use to take my little pal and I out for drives when we were about 6 or 7 and we'd go to the playground. On the way, she'd play music in the car and we'd all talk about the song.

My friend and I knew all the songs and I just had a memory the other day of my friend and I crying because we thought the song "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was so sad :(:)

We also loved Tammy Waynette and The Everly Brothers and I remember us thinking their song Birddog was very funny.

This just came back to me the other day. In the local playground, there was this huge slide. It looked huge at the time anyway and its hard to explain how it was designed. It was a bit of a death trap tbh.

Anyway, you know how on some slides you sort of stop and slow down half way? Well some genius child discovered that if you got crayons and coloured the slide in with them, you would shoot down it like there was no tomorrow!

We'd spend ages climbing it and colouring it. Made a mess of our clothes though :)

I was in Easons yesterday and seen a shelf with various stickers.

Major flashback to my childhood. My sticker albums, the excitement of my mam coming home with stickers for me, everyone in school swapping them and comparing what they had!

Good times. It made me a bit sad to remember actually. :o
