Keep the job and stay at home

She works part time, 2 jobs with 2 different, 2 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the evening.
A sad situtation has emerged, a relative with a (likely) terminal illness and she wants to stay at home in order to spend the last few months(as much as possible) with him. No one knows when it'll be over.
She would like to keep the jobs, she knows about Carer's Leave but he's in foreign country. (It's stressful enough, don't want go for getting stuck in translations or hassle to prove it's a genuine leave .)
What would be her other options?
