Not looking for legal advise just looking to see how one goes about doing this.
    Person A hit  Person B
    Person B's car is damaged
Should Person B go through their insurance to claim off Person A's insurance?

    Thank

If they want to. They can also agree to have it repaired at a place of person B's choosing and A can pay.

Regardless of how payment is made person B should inform the Gardaí and their insurance company.

Yes, the party that was hit gets contact details to the "offenders" insurance company. Also get reg number and driver name.

Then they usually contact their own insurance company and let them handle everything.
