So frustrating trying to source anything building related in this country both in terms of product selection and price. Next on the agenda is central heating radiators with the plan to change a couple of single rads in two bedrooms to doubles. Looking for a similar sizes I had settled on 600x1200 and 600x1000 and was ready to purchase these Kudox Premium Type 22 from Screwfix.com for £79.99 and £69.99 respectively.

That was until today when I rang them as neither was listed on their .ie site. They don't have the products listed as they won't ship the items to Ireland under the premise that the items are either too heavy or awkward for their courier.

I then found the same items on the B&Q website for £70 and £54 so rang their Liffey Valley store to confirm the items were in stock and as to their EUR price given their website doesn't cater for their Irish customers. Of course neither item in stock and no advise as to whether they usually stock them. They were to check their stock in Irish stores and call me back but of course they couldn't be bothered.

So anyone have any advise as to where to source 600x1200 and 600x1000 double panel radiators in this country? I checked Goodwins who have a decent website but they only carry 500 height radiators at a more expensive price but the size would be a little low for my area.

A dedicated plumbing supplier will stock them.

I picked up a 1300mm double rad in KCR plumbers' merchant last week. He had a whole room full of them. Think it was €130 incl. vat. Nice chap. Will be going back to him for the next rads I've to replace.
