    Hi,

Thinking of running a sweepstake for the Irish Grand National.

Anyone know when the startlist is confirmed?

There is a max field of 30 runners so just do the draw and give people the numbers 1 to 30. Then when they start list is confirmed you can send out an update to let people know what horse they got.

Looking tight for the Sweepstake as will only be skeleton crew in the office on Good Friday ... so tips welcome too!

I might pop into the bookies so I have an interest in the race one way or another.

I see "Our Duke" is now favourite and Carlingford Lough has dropped off the potential list?

Gigginstown have 14 of the 30 runners

I like Bai Des Isles, ran well last year off a few lb lower mark after only 3 chase starts over here as a 5 year old and should be stronger this time around, has been given experience in the Welsh National when running well to place 5th and stayed the trip well when beating Sambremont at Punchestown.

Bit farcical this especially with quite a few of them having run in the Grand National at Aintree not being given a chance to recover.

Haymount at 14/1 with 5 places for me. I don't think this was given a good ride last time out at Cheltenham and with it carrying close to bottom weight and Tiger Roll now closer to top weight, I think with Ruby on board it has a cracking chance at winning tomorrow. Horse has clearly been targeted with a big handicap in mind.

I had placed a bet (a double with a horse in Scottish National) on Road To Respect .. he's not racing now. Is the whole bet cancelled or Does it become a single on horse in Scottish National?

When backing antepost, a non runner is essentially a losing bet, so your double is a losing bet. Sorry.

Had a small top up on this @ 14/1 6places EW 1/5 odds with Skybet.

Mate knows owner of Hotel Minella in Clonmel. Owner says JP rang him to get a few quid on EW.

    I done
    Minella Foru
    Lord Scoundrel
    General Principle
    Alpha Des Obeaux
    Stellar Notion
    Bonny Kate

    All ew .
My favourite is Stella Notion, I like the value there at 50-1. It has a bit of class I think.

Don't suppose the bookies will refund on raz de maree getting no run because they don't know how to tack up a horse?
