Recurring them it seems, we have moved into a new build with a noisey grundfos pump,

especially annoying when we put the little one to bed and put a wash on and it takes off!

does anyone know of a plumber that would come out and set it up in the most noise efficient way?

Can't help with the suggestion of a plumber and/or noise reducing techniques.

However, what we did was get a timed switch, so the pump only comes on when we want to use the showers, so doesn't make noise in the evenings or during the night if someone goes to the bathroom.

Some pumps are noisy and some aren't. I had a plastic body 2 bar pump and replaced it with a 3 bar brass body pump. I expected the bigger pump to be louder but it's almost silent.
You won't make the pump itself quieter but you can cut down on the vibration. Putting foam or carpet underlay under it might help.
The suggestion above with the timer is the best solution.

    Thanks for that

What's a timed switch look like ? As in a simple plug thing or something more complex ?

I know some items such as pumps, hrv units etc have a requirement to be mounted on a high density wall / Base to reduce vibration transfer through the property.
    Could be worth looking at.

It's basically an immersion timer. It takes the space of a single outlet and sits between the pump and it's fused switch.

A lot more intel required here before we start putting in timers etc.
The timer solution assumes that the H&C system will flow without a pump, albeit more slowly.

OP describe the new build and the existing plumbing setup, including the pump location in more detail please?

We had this problem in an apartment. Turned out the pump was too small for water volume and pressure we required. Pump had to be replaced fo a bigger one and problem was solves

    ill take a picture later

its a brand new house a3 rated yada yada. with a dimplex air to water heat pump thing in the garden.

the 'hot press' is on the first floor and the pump is on the floor sitting on some pretty thick insulating material
