Im very interested in getting into the racing game but I've a good few questions before I get a pup
1)I want to buy a pup of greyhound data off someone do I need to get a form to change the ownership to my name?
2)I want to own and train him myself do I need to fill out forms and where to get them if I do?
3)to enter a dog into a race do you just ring the track where you want to run him ?
Help would be much appreciated and if you have any other good tips before I get one would be thankful

Your best bet would be to speak with Barry Coleman of the IGB. http://www.igb.ie/top-nav-corporate/ContactDetails/

    Liam,

Is there any trainer in your area you could spend a bit of time with. They could always do with a hand galloping feeding etc, that will give you the basics. That might even let you keep a dog of your own in a kennel in exchange.

You always need to send in a change of ownership form once the dog has changed hands. You only need to ring the track to enter just make sure they are qualified to race.

Best of luck which ever way you go.
