Has anyone ever had, or know someone who has had, turbp braces? They are a new idea and work faster than 6 month braces. My top teeth are ok and a regular ceramic brace will work in a short amount of time. However my bottom teeth are little more uneven and the orthodontist has recommended turbo braces.. There are only three places in the country doing them. I would love to hear of anyone who has had them fitted and what the results were at the end? And how long they wore them for?
    Thanks a million

They are just braces with a different marketing spin.... just see an orthodontist and go from there.

No-one tells their ophthalmic surgeon what type of laser to use on their eyes and similarly you shouldn't decide the braces, let someone with more knowledge than you do that......

Unless the dentist has managed to change the biologically safe speed at which teeth can be moved, and the appropriate retention period the amount of time needed is fixed for your issue. That may be 6 months or less if the issue is minor.

6 months braces are just regular braces that are taken off after 6 months, used to correct minor issues. As suggested above go to a dentist or orthodontist that provides all types of braces and treats a wide range of issues, that way your problems will be treated in the appropriate manner.

Sticking a turbo badge on your car makes it no faster.

Biologically, you can only move teeth at a certain pace. Too fast,& you run the risk of root resorption, nerve death, tooth mobility ect.
I can't imagine there's an orthodontist out there who doesn't want to work more efficiently in order to see more patients & reduce treatment time.... But biology,& not technology, primarily dictates the speed of treatment.
If your orthodontist is a registered specialist you should be in safe hands.
