Shanghai China

    Hi All,

    Heading to Shanghai China for 7 days the week after next looking to see if the bordies have any tips or suggestions to use my time wisely!
    Also looking to see what the best option for the internet is.

    Definitely go to Hangzhou for more than one day if possible, Suzhou and zhujia jiao are probably worth a day too. Yuan gardens is pretty cool to just walk around and the market there has all sorts of interesting things when you get away from the main areas. I found that the markets were really fun, especially Nanjing road West and the science museum. It's a great city though so you'll always find something to do

    I can't remember what SIM I used but i know you have to use proxies to access some sites from home

    Agree with that. It's about 2 hours from Shanghai by train if I remember properly.

    There are some nice museums there and of course there is the bund. I am not a super party person but did head out some nights with people I met in the hostel I stayed at and the bars were dceent for a major city value and every one of them had this awesome dice game that I only ever saw in Shanghai. It's 1 of my abiding memories of the city.
