Changing Weather Widget Display Language

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. I've gotten a new phone and am trying to find a nice weather clock widget.

Every one I've tried is displaying my location in Irish, and I prefer it displayed in English. I've tried going into the widget settings and changing language from "default" to English, but it doesn't change it.

The stock weather widget displays it in English, but any other one I've downloaded doesnt. Any ideas what I'd need to tweak to change this?

Maybe check what your phone system language is set to in settings. Might be English (Ireland) and see about switching it to English (UK).

Thanks! I'll give that a shot and report back.

    No joy :(

The weird thing is if I just use the stock weather clock widget it's in English, but I've tried 5 or 6 ones from the Play Store and they've all been in Irish.

If it's for all widgets, then it has to be your system/Google language settings. I've only ever used English as a language, and have never seen any language other than English. Can you remember setting Irish for your language at any point?

No, I definitely set it as English. It's set as "English United Kingdom" now. I've checked every setting I can think of and they're all English. It's just the location that's showing up in Irish, everything else is in English.

    This doesn't help?
