So I'm with my partner well over 8 yearscand we have a kid. So background he suffers severe mental illness I work full time n he looks after our child.... that's all he does. No other jobs around the house ,washing up,cleaning up, washing clothes he says I have plenty of time to do all that myself when I come home form work. Himself and my mam don't talk at all so I have to keep them separated the whole time which causes me stress. So this evening I was logging onto the pc for my online banking and Facebook was already logged on and there was messages on it from a woman. Flirty messages and saying he was single and more or less sating to meet up...What do I do? If I confront him hel think I was snooping if I say quiet it will eat me up. That's not fair on our child, to be fair our relationship is nothing the last while mainly since he stopped talking to my mother. (There was a row one night and he called her all sorts of names and I threw him out but obviously I allowed him back in)

You only posted about your partner the other day and the consensus in that thread was that you are being completely taken for a mug.

Add in flirty messages to another woman and I think you can probably answer your own question.

What are you actually getting out of this relationship, OP?

I'm not being nasty here but is he capable of minding your child everyday? That would be my main concern OP.

Regarding your relationship..I would pack up and leave if I were you.He has no respect for you and there's no point even discussing the messages with him...he sounds absolutely useless and you know that he won't change.

Could you move into your mother's house?

I own this house... it's in my name so I'm not going anywhere. He is capable of minding our child every day. They have creche every day until 1 and I'm home at 5.3p so realistically only a few hours.

So what do you want...can you see him ever changing?

This is your third thread in the space of a month about the same issue. While PI is here as a sounding board and to seek advice, professional help is obviously needed if you feel compelled to start multiple threads on the same topic. Wishing you well.
