I have a Vodafone Smart Prime 6 locked to Vodafone Ireland, anyone know how to unlock it?

I tried ebay but they said "the vodafone ireland database isn't accessible"

You've tried doing it by requesting the NAC code through the Vodafone site?

nah you need account details and also have to have topped up by a certain amount.

I got this phone from an office clearout so no details of signup etc

One of those dodgy place on Moore st then? Do I need to delete all my saved passwords before handing over my phone to them? :)

So, the only option is a shop that unlocks phones right?

Can this be done during a lunchtime break, or do you need to leave the phone in for a day?

If you know anyone with a business account on Vodafone they can request it for you. Alternatively I think it can be done by some of the chinese shops. Usually they ask it to be left with them for at least an hour, whether you want to delete sensitive info is up to you.

I asked a few guys (that provide unlock codes) on Adverts and they said this model phone cannot be unlocked, so I guess it's either not possible, or the particular details of unlocking this phone haven't been leaked.

I guess I could try to find someone with a business account on Vodafone, how does one go about this? :)

Get your business friend to go to nac.vodafone.ie, you'll just need to give him the imei (dial *#06#).

This phone still may be unlockable via software that the Chinese phone shops have. Example: The Alcatel idol 4 from 3, you cannot get unlock codes for it anywhere but some of the Chinese shops can do it.
