A friend has moved into a new house and has asked Eir to install a phone line with efibre. Now there was a phone line in the past to this house but probably many years ago and it looks like other houses in the area have phone lines overhead but the engineers are saying that something is blocking them from bring the phone underground? He was given dates of end of January, end of March now its end of May. If he canceled the eir order and ordered off another provider would they be quicker in getting the fibre to the house or should he give up and go with wireless or mobile broadband?

Ask them to find out what the work order is for and whats holding it up.

Same team will be doing the work no matter who its ordered through.
