Getting this message this morning when I try and enter google.ie or access my gmail

    the full message is:

attackers might be trying to steal your information from google.ie (for example passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_WEAK_SIGNATURE_ALGORITHM

I've deleted history, synced correct date etc but no dice. Even trying to log into boards throws up this error message in chrome. Boards.ie can be accessed but hit the login button and the error message shows up again

Any ideas what the problem is here?

    You're behind a transparent proxy.

Most likely your own antivirus software. 2nd to that you're in an office.

i'm not in an office, its my personal laptop.

I turned off the anti virus software (microsoft security essentials) temporarily to see if google chrome will still work but no luck

Have another personal laptop thats working fine and no issues with using google chrome at all (same version of google chrome on both laptops).

Won't allow access to gmail, facebook etc.

Will allow access to boards.ie but when i click to login the message appears again

    any ideas?

    Uninstall chrome and then reinstall.

It's possible that malware has installed the transparent proxy on your system. Download "google chrome cleanup" and it might find something.

In the other thread in comp+tech, it turned out to be malware/adware.
