Trying to start my late dads diesel generator. ( Water) I turn the key but nothing happens. Am I missing something? Would the battery be dead assuming it has one. Tnks

The Red button needs to be clicked out other wise it def won't start, its a safety/stop button, if its clicked in it won't allow power through to start it. after that it definitely has a battery to start it, so that could be your issue. Hope this helps

No joy on starting it. I pulled out the red button and now get a momentary blink off the battery light when I try to start. There is no noise of anything though. Included a pic of a wall mounted switch but not sure what that does.

It's not obvious where the battery could be so before I start breaking things could someone let me know. Is it a regular car battery? Could I use a jump starter pack?

    Tnks

Battery is usually to be found if you lift up either of the side pannels, No idea what those other switches are for.
