    Help!
We've got a nice old brass bedframe, a roomy single, and the mattress that we've been using was always too narrow.

The bed is about 42 inches wide, - that is, three ft 6 in the old money.
Nobody makes mattresses that size any more, as far as I can see.
But I do think there ought to be mattresses that are a metre wide?

All I can find are 90 cms (too narrow) then a jump up to 120 cms - too wide.

American websites list a "twin size" which looks about right - has anyone here ever seen one of those? (its 39 ins by 75 ins, which would be a good fit)
    (Thats 100 x 190 in metric)

Anyone here got any experience or advice to share?
I have faith in you, boardsies!

Have you checked Ikea? Some of the mattresses there are funny sizes!

    Isn't 42" (3'6") a king single aka a large-single?

Not many about but a quick googling:

    http://furniturefactory.ie/product.php?pid=250

No connection, not used them. Just the first link I found.

@Graham, you're a hero. That looks just right.
I must have been googling wrong, 'cause my searches didn't throw up this one.
    Thank you very much!

Swan beds in cork make to measure mattresses and base boards. Got both made about ten years ago to put on old brass bed frame.

    I hope this helps
