Has anyone else seen these. I've seen them coming off the slip way for Dunboyne on the M3 and the road at Skryne outside Navan.

It's like a CCTV camera on top of the 60km speed signs. Are they to measure traffic volume?

I only noticed these yesterday and then saw two more of them on the trim road before you come into batterstown coming from Dublin.
I'm not sure what they are either. Hopefully not speed cameras..

Jaysus i hope they're not speed cameras but i highly doubt it.

If they were speed cameras sitting on top of a 60 km/h , then they'd be pointing into the speed zone before the speed limit of 60 km/h applies.

Those are not speed cameras they are census cameras . I suspect the toll road people are complaining that the tolls are down because everyone turns off there to avoid them

They are counting vehicles that's all

I figured as much, also thought it was something counting extra number of cars on the road due to Bus Eireann strike.
