I know nothing so i need some help with this. I'm in hospital at the moment, i was in hospital for a month this time last year for the same thing and my employer covered my wage. My employer is nolonger in that position where they can cover it so i will need to apply for illness benefit.
Do i get the form completed by the doctors here and get my wife to hand it into the social welfare on a weekly basis or do i wait till the end and get it all signed off in one. Or, can my GP complete it once i have been signed off as being ok to work.

I'm sorry for the questions, I'm sure there are obvious answers but the last time i read the forms, i was quite confused.

Hand in the first one asap, and them week by week, til you're back to work again, money will be paid into your bank a/c.

Hi my situation is this..... I have Crohn's and was on illness benefit for 2 years (Til dec 2016) medication was changed and I was fit enough to to look for full time work, applied and got JSB on it since jan 2017 . I am now in the Middle of a flare so unable to look for work what should I do?although I meet the criteria re credited contribution (52-2015) and 39 paid 2013 and 48 in 2014... I've heard you can't requalify again unless you've 13 paid contributions since your last claim ended, any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

Apply for Illness Benefit in the usual way and go to see the CWO for a payment because your JSB will cease.
The SWA will be means tested mind you.
