Can someone tell me how to adjust the rear brakes on an Nissan Almera 2002.This car has drums and brake shoes.I took off the rear Drum today but I cannot see the usual little wheel you turn to adjust the brakes.I only had a quick look as the car was needed but I will probably have a look again tomorrow. Is there an adjuster or is there any other ways to adjust them. This car failed NCT last year because of parking Imbalance.Thanks.

If the imbalance is just on the parking brake but not on the service brake and you have shoes on the rear axle, then the problem is most probably either a stretched or a partially seized handbrake cable

There's a ratchet like mechanism between the top of the 2 shoes. To adjust them you pull the shoes apart at the top and it should adjust the teeth.
