    Hi folks,
looking to get some new paint that will match the existing paint on my interior walls. I have a small amount of the old paint left, that I have been using for touching up.
Has anyone any experience with the scanners/colour-matching in Homebase(Dulux) or B&Q(Valspar)?
Or can you recommend anywhere else?
Am I crazy in hoping for a batch of new paint made up that will blend in nicely with the older paint already on the walls?
    Thanks.

I have had good results from paint matching when taking a sample of painted wood in to match a paint for my furniture ,,,but saying that the sample was new and your paint has been up and has probably faded a bit, the paint in the can could be different shade now,

I would think that as long as you repaint corner to corner, you should be okay matching what you have in the can. Any paint seller will do a credible job.

    Thanks for the replies.
Where did you go to get the paint matched?
Did they match it by eye, or using scanners & automated mixers?

    Hi sonny,
Most good paint or hardware can match paint if you have a sample.
Paint a small bit of your touch up on a clean surface and they can scan it to match
