    Hi

This is just out just out of interest more than anything else.

I had a root canal done yesterday, pretty much painless bar the odd sting every now and then. The worst part about those stings is the anticipation and unexpectedness.

Anyway, after the end of the cleaning out, the dentist put something in, maybe it was an antibiotic? I nearly jumped out of the chair with the pain. After that , the tooth was filled.

Otherwise, again, no complaints and I'm in good shape now, but what the hell was happening at that painful moment?

It was just you and the dentist there when that happened, so if you don't know then maybe ask your dentist...??!!

Apart from that we can only guess, I'll go first, he tried out his taser on you!!

I asked and she said it was medicine to kill bacteria.

Probably a form of bleach then, shouldn't sting though if contained within the canal and you are numb.....
