I've recently began driving again, I began driving in 2011 (i'm not sure when I got my licence but I'm sure it was around about April 4th) I had lost my 1st provisional licence a number of years ago, renewed lately and got my 2nd. My question is how do I know if i need to complete the EDT before I complete the test?

Once your 1st permit was before the new rules you can apply right away.

If you are unsure contact ndls they will tell you.

I really think it was the first week of April. Going to book the test and let them come back to me if I was past the date.

The category start dates on the back of your current permit are the date that the category was actually issued to you. If this date is "on or after 04/04/2011" you are required to complete EDT.
