Hi, I'm looking to hire a JCB 3CX self-drive in the Dublin area for some clearing work, anyone have any recommendations who to contact? Thanks

If you're planning to drive it yourself I wonder if a hirer will give it to you unless you have an operator ticket?

I had assumed it would be like hiring a digger, tickets required just for building sites but not for private use on own property, but open to correction on this.

There is a lot of handling on a 3cx compared to say a 6 ton digger. If you have never operated a 3cx before it's a hell of a culture shock coming from mini diggers to this machine. I have never seen one for hire to the public. I know contractors hire them in to sites but they usually take a driver with the machine
