    Guys does anyone know what going to the hygienst consists of. Is there needles involved???

    No needles are involved.
    They will typically examine you for tartar build up, clean it off and do a polish.
    The only painful bit is paying for it:)

    Sometimes we give injections but only if necessary. If you need periodontal treatment (deeper clean dine over several visits) then you will have an injection but if it's a regular scale and polish then it's unlikely.
